The world economy actualy is in a real mess, the origine of the problem was the banks. In order to make enormous profiles, they were giving loans without checking the abily of people to pay back. they were also selling loans between them, a large number of people were not able to pay back theire morgages, so bank have lost a lot of many and collapsed.
all of that caused a liquidity crisis, banks don`t have money, so they are not lending for people and businesses, and the economic activity is slowing down. The businesses are not able to invest or even to maintain their activities, unemployement is rising and people are spending less money.
