The world economy actualy is in a real mess, the origine of the problem was the banks. In order to make enormous profiles, they were giving loans without checking the abily of people to pay back. they were also selling loans between them, a large number of people were not able to pay back theire morgages, so bank have lost a lot of many and collapsed.
all of that caused a liquidity crisis, banks don`t have money, so they are not lending for people and businesses, and the economic activity is slowing down. The businesses are not able to invest or even to maintain their activities, unemployement is rising and people are spending less money.

self-study, Overview of my subject area (Task 9)
My subject is about computer networking, the aim is to have a better understanding of the networks in the present and uture forms. It is of a big importance because networks are the physical support of internet, which is becoming an indenspensable tool.
The masters is devided into 3 main stages, the 1st one is about switching and routing devices, broadband networks and communication systems.
the second stage introduces the research methodes and go deeper in the routing and switching. The last stage is a personal communication dessertation.
The main coming development in the computer networking, is the move from in the addressing system IPv4 to IPv6. this is due to the increasing number of hosts which is pushing the limites of the IPv4.
A useful website is CISCO.NETACAD.NET, where it is possible to access the CCNA or the CCNP materials, they are for an extreme importance in the subject area.

The globalisation of the internet has generated so many benefits for the society. It made our life easier by the improvement and the simplification of our communications. A lot of facilities are available online, like to do shopping or to complete administrative papers. The education system has a better performance; students have a wide choice of online materials. This is allowing them to get the information from different sources located in different places in the world. The learning system is more diversified. Internet has promoted the freedom of the media by giving everyone the possibility to broadcast. The challenge now is to purify the net by eradicating all form of abuse on the network. It is going to be done only if every one participates, within defined regulation policies.

The subject that i am going to study, in Computer Networking MSc. This is including the following core modules:
- CTP003 Broadband Networks .
- CTP002 Advanced Communications Systems .
- CTP011 Routing and Switching Devices.
- CSP008 Research Methods and Project Preparation .
- CTPP13 Computer Networking & Communications Dissertation.
As well as four optianl modules.
The course leader is Dr Nicholas IOANNIDES.
Dr Tarik MOGHALIL, Another lecturer in the course did advice me to revise my CCNA (Cisco Networking Academy) courses, as the master is going be a continuation of this courses, that i done in london met. An other thing to do as preparation is to start reading books from CISCO Press, about CCNP.

Speaking practice, 21st Jan
This afternoon, i have been talking to Andir about our subject area, we discussed the content of every module in the Masters, and about the way we are going work it, probable hands on works and presentations.
In the same time we highlighted the possibility of doing an intenship, withing a company working in the sector, and how to apply for it. The last point was comming changes in the technologies and the career opportunities.
